It's a fair valuation with a punchy up front cash flow requirement.

Sure, we might have eventually got someone to pay £40m and keep you happy, but we wouldn't have been seeing the same amount of £££ in this transfer window.

Cash in hand has a value in itself.

For example if this then let's us play the same card on our purchases (lower offer for cash up front), then overall it'll be a wash.
