Someone tried to scam me last night. I am selling some old bits of furniture on Gumtree

And somebody Whatsapped me asking about an old grandmother clock we have. A little suspicious at first because usually the contact is through Gumtree.
They asked a few questions and then said they’d go for it and would pay through Gumtree’s payment and delivery service. I questioned this as I’d never heard of it and they sent me the link. That web address had a “tk” ending to it, like out “.co.uk” meaning it’s registered in the South Pacific!
They then said they’d paid and arranged collection through Parcels2Go (which are legit) but no payment had arrived on my PayPal. Instead the link they sent me had a “claim your payment” tab on it. I looked at it and it asked me to provide my bank card details !
Obviously I said goodbye at this stage, they persisted with comments such as “ I have paid and you are not providing the item, I cannot reclaim my payment, please accept my payment through the link” etc
Watch out, out there kiddos, there’s some clever (not clever enough) conmen out there
