I've just finished listening to the Oliver Skipp All in Yellow pod. He's a genuinely
impressive young man. He speaks so well, balancing his loyalty to Spurs with his gratitude and appreciation of Norwich.
He came across as very focused and clear about how he feels his career should move forward. In the same way as Todd talked last week about how his loan move developed him as a player and made him ready for the first team, Oli said the same about us. It sounds like he did his research and had to fight to come.
I wonder what will happen now? Will he jump into all the breakaway league stuff with Spurs? I'm pretty sure he will not want to be sitting on the bench when he could be playing after all the fun he's had this season. However, he's definitely a Spurs fan, so who knows?
I might be reading too much into this but the other thing that came across to me was that the Spurs team are not as close knit - or else Oli is still just a fringe member and not really part of things. He called Harry Kane 'Kane' for example and could only mention one team mate and the academy lads who he's been in touch with.
Anyway, it's definitely worth a listen
