Creation of the Premier League was a money grab in itself

I've always said far more money should go down the pyramid than does (regardless of whether we're in it or not). We really are an outlier in terms of being a club without massively rich owners, who don't particularly want massively rich owners, but are building something sustainably with the community through youth. As you say most clubs at our end of the pyramid are simply assets on someone's balance sheet or playthings for bored rich people. Their priority will be continuous strong growth in financial terms. Most of them have probably never even been to the communities their playthings are so quaintly named after, let alone engaged with or understood the area and its people and fans. It's s**t and it needs opposing and I'm heartened to see such a strong reaction to it from other parts of the game.
