There's no way the club could have contingency planned for the number of injuries we had at centre back or that they would have been out for months.

The domino effect of that on every part of the team makes any real assessment of how we did last time out impossible.

While Amadou was a disappointment, we didn't buy him - the same tactic has worked this year with Gibson and Dimi.

Naturally we'll need to strengthen - and if we can get the right players in I think we can give it all a good go.
