Only way I could see it might work

Is to sign a few top players on loan (like with Hucks for example) and hope they can single-handedly haul them up. But a big gamble and when we did with Hucks and Crouch, we already had a championship squad. They have pretty much nothing as far as I can see. Completely agree that competing with the top championship or yo-yo clubs is a very tall order though.
