It's now open season on Maxwell. Anyone can make any allegation they like. Epstein is dead and her reputation is trash. So a predatory lawyer can find someone who once had a connection with Epstein (eg used to cut his hair at his house), make some nasty stuff up, tag along with the crowd suing Epstein's vast estate and hope to get a cut of damages /settlement.

This stuff really happens, especially in the Yoo Ess of Ay.
