I did my ankle ligaments playing for York Athletic in 1971

I could barely walk. The coach, Mick Munday, took me to some old guy who poured some amazing stuff on my ankle, I think it was called olive oil, rare in the early 70s and manipulated the ligament back into place.

Cost me 2/6 (two and sixpence ie half a crown). I was playing the next week. Best 2/6 I ever spent. Played for another 28 years with no further problems.
