We should offer the EU a swap deal

They have millions of unused and unwanted AstraZeneca vaccine doses. We should let them have some of the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine and take the unwanted AZ in return.

If I am being objective, a 1:1 swap deal would be reasonable. Both sides would benefit. I feel both vaccines are safe and effective. AZ actually looking at tad better according to the Scotland data.

The EU seem - to me anyway - to be trying to politicise the view of Europeans regarding BioNtech / AZ vaccine benefits and drawbacks, running pretty close to a smear campaign against AZ. The UK could probably ask for more than one AZ dose for each BioNtech.

I do wonder to what extent a 'this particular vaccine is dangerous' is interpreted as 'vaccines are dangerous' detrimentally affecting vaccine hesitancy in the EU, UK and globally.
