Press news in...
Updates from Daniel Farke's pre-Coventry City press conference to come shortly.
----------------------------------------------------------
DF: We are used to being top of the league and we like this. It makes no sense to hide from the pressure. But the table after 25, 30 games doesn't matter. It matters where you are after 46 games.
DF: Many teams are there with many points but it's difficult to be sure who'll be there at the end still. We have to keep going.
DF: I don't go further on with the discussion with Max. We had a chat with Max, he wants to focus on Norwich for this season. It's not a topic for us or for Max. We will worry about this topic when the season is over. It's not a worry for us.
DF: The reason why Oliver wins the man-of-the-match award every week it's because Tottenham fans always vote for him! When you look at his season so far, he's played more or less each and every second. We have a lot of competition and that shows how highly I regard him that he plays most weeks.
DF: Jose Mourinho is a top class coach. He's spoke about Oliver having a captain pedigree and who am I to speak against this? I enjoy every day working with Oliver but I like to help him develop and put pressure on him too.
DF: Oliver got the fingertip in his eye, he couldn't see much after the game. But everything is okay now and he's ready to go.
DF: All the players are available who played on Saturday. Jordan Hugill has returned to tean training and could be involved at the weekend.
DF: In the cup game against Coventry, we had a very good start. But they showed after our goals that it's difficult to create chances against them. I totally value their work there, they always play with a clear handwriting and lots of passion and desire.
DF: They will fight tomorrow after their last game. It'll be a difficult task, they have quality and are a very good footballing side.
DF: Each opponent in the next few games has a different style. Coventry are a good footballing side whereas some of the other sides are more direct. But every game is difficult at this level.
DF: Coventry know what they have to do to stay in this league, they will be aggressive. Any team can win a game in this league. We have been in that position, so have Brentford. Barnsley beat them with a clean sheet on Saturday, that shows you have to be switched on in every single moment.
DF: We are pleased with Sam's development. He had a tricky start but has been playing well for them in the left-back position. It was a good choice for us to send him there. We are pleased with how he's doing.
DF: It's difficult with the training weeks. Last week we had a normal training week and we have lots of players available, it's always healthy.
DF: Przemek missed the weekend because of competition. In the offence, our choice was to go with Idah, Dowell and Hernandez on the bench. Przemek puts a lot of pressure on himself and he works so well. Sometimes with his character, you have to take pressure away from his shoulders. It was important for him to calm down a bit.
DF: You need to protect him a little bit. Due to the competition and his character, we needed to take him out of the spotlight.
DF: Marco is not back in team training but we have increased the look. We are thinking about giving him some game time in the Under-23s game Friday. This would be the final step before he returns back to team training.
DF: I wanted to kill Kenny after the backpass during the game! It was nice we could have a smile after the game about it!
DF: In the data, we're playing one of the best seasons in the history of the club. After the Swansea game, everyone was a bit low but a lot of factors were behind the loss. Two days later, we're back top of the league. It's always important to stay level, but it's quite normal for people to get emotional about it. This is what the club is about. It's important we as a group keep balanced and keep going.
DF: Kieran Dowell has so much potential, he's a fantastic footballer. He was great during pre-season and he started the first couple of games. But then he got injured and was out for three months. I would love to give him a few games to get in his rhythm but it's not possible. We don't want to risk any league game. He has to wait for his chance and take it when it comes.
DF: I'm not thinking one second about Rotherham, I'm just thinking about the next game. It doesn't work to look at other games and games further ahead.
DF: Sam Byram has been out for 12 months. We'll give him all the time he needs, he does his individual rehab, he's doing some stuff outside but he's far away from team training.
DF: We have a slightly different setup to two years ago. We have a bit more steel in the defensive midfield positions this time around. Also our reputation is different this time, people expect us to be near the top after our work over the past two seasons.

That's all from the City head coach. More build-up to come on canaries.co.uk in the lead up to Coventry City tomorrow.
