I suppose that the worthington appointment is a bit different though...

...because he was of course the assistant manager first of all, he then had a good short term effect on the team which was at the time, in major danger of relegation. He played a clever game of ultimatums, and was successful in gettin his job. At the time we were not the club we are now.

I guess the board love him because of his acceptance of financial restrictions, he only spends money that the club can afford, this allows him to have already formed excuses. I'm sure you'd admit though, that there are very few managers who can get results with small transfer budgets, that are out of work and proven at a higher level.
