We rarely got in behind then too. And when that happens you need either a) a physical presence who can win the ball even in a crowded area or b) someone who can shoot from outside. Both avoid the need to pass it through where there's no space. In Farke's first season we had Maddison to provide b). This year, unless Hugill is playing, we have neither.
