I can't even be arsed to read the headlines anymore
i sometimes have a peep at the edp though to see if someone has had their sense of entitlement unjustly ruffled.
news is vastly overrated imo, there's not been one day since i've been born that there hasn't been any news at all and notwithstanding that i reckon the number of days that news has directly impacted me with any element of significance are barely in the low double figures. terrorist attacks in belgium? zero impact. coal miners strike? never bought coal in my puff. general election? meh who gives a s**t. manchester bombing? noope. brexit? yawn. us election? purrrrrrlease.
the weather on the other hand is essential daily knowledge.
and nowadays thanks to social media and fake news even agenda pushing professors can't be trusted to tell the truth. Google propoganda/news now sports a fact check section fgs. they'll be lying about the weather soon.
