IMHO it's a useful tool but I'm not sure how effective it is.
I know a bit about aerosols and it would seem to be reasonably effective if it had some electrostatic properties.
As you could imagine there is a central stream of air that does not contact the sides of the nose plus how would the effectiveness decrease as your nose traps normal particulates (bogeys).
I would think a quality mask would be more effective.
On the plus side it could not hurt to have this plus a mask.
