It used to be called Council Housing until Thatcher decided
to sell it all off and deride it. Both my grandparent lived in small Norfolk villages in the rows of council houses built between 1920 and 1940. Real retrograde step for this country when they were made into a political football. Young people are footing the bill today by paying ridiculous prices for new houses where interest rates are effectively subsidised by the govt to keep house prices inflated.
