Pancetta in Italy is typically cooked to add depth to soups and pastas. On the other hand, (Przemysław) Płacheta on the other hand, is a Polish footballer who plays as a left winger for English Championship club Norwich City. At international level, Płacheta has played for Poland U21.
So if you look very carefully you will see the spelling is different; Pancetta/Placheta Words with different spellings often mean different things and it is surprising given your advanced years that you don't know this.
