...having disproportionality record results is necessarily going to help this year's crop, personally, but it is done now.
For those leaving school, grades are locked in and the results are what were important, I suppose.
For anyone using the grades to go onto further education, hopefully the teachers have got it right, else they may struggle.
On the last point, I fear more for kids who have received optimistic GCSE results and try to carry that through to A Levels. That can be a hard enough leap already in some subjects.
I don't think they should have uturned. Force ranking each population means the top performers would be less likely to have been downgraded, regardless, but as I say, done now.
