NORWICH EYE MAWSON, BENNETT

Norwich City have made inquiries over the availability for Fulham’s Alfie Mawson and Wolves’ Ryan Bennett as they look to strengthen their central defensive options.

Mawson joined Fulham from Swansea for £20m back in August 2018. He made 28 appearances this campaign for Scott Parker, although but has not figured in first team plans since January.

Bennett, who made 79 appearances for Norwich between 2012 and 2017 still retains a home in Norfolk, has just returned to Molineux after a loan spell at Leicester.

News of Norwich’s interest has done little to dampen down speculation that England U21 skipper Ben Godfrey is likely to leave Carrow Road this summer.
