I got a VAIO lappy from work about 2 years ago.

One month out of warranty the screen went tits up - so did the two others we bought at the same time - they're all PCG-GRT796HP

It's great, apart from the screen.

Sony want ?400 to fix it, which is a rip off, and based on lies. They want to replace the whole screen and lighting unit, when it's only the lighting unit at fault.

I wouldn'y buy another VAIO personally. Decent kit, s**t after-sales.
