The Competition law angle is really interesting and I haven't seen it really explored
in our own media. Hopefully the Wresident Wrothlawyers will soon be along to put that right :)
All moot for us if the season is completed and honestly we could have no real complaints at going down - as others have said it's not the worst season to be relegated due to the fact we're actually quite well run compared to, say, most Chumps and several Prem clubs, despite our much smaller balance sheet. And I'd far, far rather these things be decided on a football pitch than in a courtroom.
However, I wonder the extent to which this argument can extend to include a portion of the season played under materially different rules.
One thing's for sure: a lot of agreements which seem not to have force majeure clauses are suddenly going to acquire same...
