Very topical and by no means political, the only time I’ve ever been fishing and caught
Anything was when I was about 13 and we were camping on a friend’s uncle’s farm on the banks of the river Tees near Barnard Castle. We caught quite a few rainbow trout by tickling them, they’d all come into a little pool on the edge of the river. Tbh we didn’t know how to cook them, there were no adults there so we put back a most of them. I remember one got placed on top of a camping gas cylinder and we shot it with an air rifle hoping it would explode but the canister just fizzed for ages and we got scared.
