Can't really help you regarding symptoms, however,

one thing I am aware of is that very few care homes are admitting new residents. If you find one that is it is likely to be either incredibly expensive, or probably not to the standard you would wish for. Also bare in mind that if admitted, your mum would be unable to receive any visitors until such time as restrictions are lifted. We took the view that Annie's mum's mental capacity to deal with 3 months of isolation wasn't palatable,that's why she's with us. That of course has to be balanced off against your own capacity to deal with the stress of looking after your mum 24 hours a day, and the fear that your actions could unwittingly cause your mum to become unwell in your pursuit of doing the right thing.
