The UKs leading medical equipment manufacturer has released their ventilator IP
So that all of the UK manufacturing sector can help clone their products to massively ramp up production.
The UK formula one teams (all of them, working together) are working with this to try to use their rapid prototyping facilities to make parts to support this endeavour.
I would comment on how many medical staff are trained to use the ventilators but I think it is beneficial to focus on positives. If we just spend our days sat inside, reading the (rightfully) depressing news all day, every day, this wil have serious mental health implications to add to the obvious physiological problems we face.
