For me, electric isn't quite there yet.

I've got a 4 year old 3 litre diesel that I'll keep as long as possible.

But when I do replace it, it will be with a petrol / hybrid, or full electric depending on how technology has gone. That's probably 5 years away though.

I guess it depends how long OG will keep the car. Diesel isn't going to become redundant in the next 5 years for big cars. It probably will for city cars, and rightly so.
