To be honest, I'm not convinced he is totally ready for the step up..
.. I felt he had a decidedly indifferent period towards the end of last season ( and I'm sure this didn't do him any favours in the 'shop window'), another season with us would serve him well.
Plus would he really want to go elsewhere and play second fiddle to an established first-teamer?
