I wasn't keen on VAR for a couple of reasons
1. Too many subjective calls which VAR wouldn't resolve (in fact might just inflame),
2. Breaks in play/flow.
But this is a whole new level of agony and is making football a laughing stock.
I would now *happily* take VAR regardless of (short) breaks in play if it simply used greater common sense. Simple replays which can immediately prove or disprove - thus ensuring that no obvious advantage has been gained.
This would then entirely satisfy both the laws of the game and their spirit.
