I'm in the process of selling a house, and good tip from an agent...

There's a balance to achieve: Remove enough stuff from the house to de-personalise it, but leave enough so the function of each room is very clear. In other words, de-clutter and remove stuff like family photos but leave furniture so it doesn't feel like an empty shell.
