Looking for some views on selling a house

in particular on selling a house that is no longer occupied previous owners have passed away

currently clearing it out of personal effects and giving it a lick of paint

but when i put it on the market any up side on down side to leaving the furniture in or having house empty

i will be discussing this with an estate agent before i make a decision
