I don't think it's going to be embarrassing

after all we've spent nothing in the eyes of the media & public so it's not as though anyone is expecting us to do anything other than lose lots and get relegated.

The difficulty is going to be maintaining morale and going down in a positive way, such that next season the team can bounce back and confidence in Farke isn't destroyed.

I can't think of many managers that have taken a team down and brought them back up again (I'm sure there are one or two) so it's going to be critical that Farke can maintain trust & belief, ie for us to show some fight and improvement and some signs that the problems have genuinely been injuries/investment and not that we have a manager/team that doesn't actually have a plan B and can't actually turn things around.

The morale one will be tricky - much of our drive last year will have been from players wanting to get to the PL, and wanting to prove themselves so that they get their big money moves. Some will have ticked the PL box and can rest easy. For the ambitious it will be dawning on some that that their big move isn't happening, either because they can't cut it or because they're in a team where they can't shine. The few that do have prospects will have one eye on their escape routes.

It's how you now motivate those individuals through the season that will be key to either turning it around or at least going down with a bang and not a whimper.

This is where Farke & Webber earn their stripes.
