Can't remember when it was, need a pantsbot to find out but there was discussion a while ago about promotion clauses on new players

Liabilities in accounts at end of the 17/18 season were around £20 mill and as we acquired a number of players 18/19 season probable that these all had a clause too.

And all these would need to be included in promotion season accounts.

So the answer to "Where's the money gone?" is promotion to prem.
