We’re going again - loved it.

Had a great time last time we went.

On arrival, Archroy took a great ole gouge out of the driveway of the Airbnb we were staying at with his tow bar. Got a cab into town and met Otto in the pub where we ordered chicken wings - they took an hour to come and were raw and still bleeding when they arrived, ate them anyway.

Train to the ground. The match. Me, Yellalee and Archroy left at 4-0 down to beat the rush for the train - APB stayed with Little Mike as he NEVER EVER leaves early. Found a cracking real ale pub - the city was buzzing as it was so close to Halloween - loads of people dressed up in a happy mood. Had some passable food in a Vietnamese restaurant and then did some more pubs.

APB got hit on by an, initially friendly, chatty lady who, two hours later, turned into an angry banshee. Later on, in one of the not-so-good pubs (lots of sprayed spider webs, green witch’s masks and purple lights), I fell asleep. Everyone was full up to the top with beer so we had some very civilised G&Ts.

Joined the queue for the taxis and wailing banshee woman spotted us and was all sweetness and light as she wanted to jump the queue - we let her in in front of us to avoid a scene. Cab back to the Airbnb. APB and Little Mike watched cricket.

In the morning, I was first up, had about 5 of Johnny Airbnb’s Nespresso pods in the garden out the back. On venturing into the living room, I discovered a massive square of cheese on the sofa - it had a perfect bite mark hole right in the middle of one side. I put it back in its packet in the fridge.

We went to the pinkest, fluffiest, twee-ist, Burnham Market-ist cafe for breakfast. It was very good.

We dropped Little Mike off at Thetford train station on the way home.
