Would a general election actually solve the Brexit impasse in Parliament?
I would have thought it more likely, particularly if we're still in the EU come 1st Nov that Con & Lab will lose voters to the Brexit Party & Lib Dems and thus the result would more than likely be another hung parliament? In terms if any coalition thereafter, whilst the current opposition parties can all agree that they don't want no deal there doesn't seem to be anything particularly that they can agree they do want; therefore presumably there still won't be a majority in Parliament for any approach for resolving Brexit?
It'd be pretty galling if all the parties were campaigning saying they would do x, y & z to sort Brexit only for the election result to then mean that none of them were actually able to do what they wanted...then what would be do? Another election? Second referendum?
