He's never made it a secret he wanted to play in the Prem and would move on when we went down if someone came in for him.

The way he agreed an extended contract (so we'd get fair value for him) and has behaved himself around this issue generally should serve as a shining example to other players of how to act when you think your career might be best served elsewhere. Not once has he caused dissent or slagged the club or us off or got an agent to play silly buggers with us. Top bloke, in my book.
