Absolute drama in the NFL. Mockery made of their trade system.

Antonio Brown (arguably best wide receiver in NFL) sulks at Pittsburgh Steelers end of last season. Gets benched. Demands trade.

Ends up getting traded to the Oakland raiders for draft picks. One of worst teams in league in 2018.

Pre season training starts. First gets mild frostbite by forgetting to wear slippers in cryogenic chamber. Can’t train. That heals and then starts demanding to wear old helmet which has not been approved for safety. Sits out longer. Keeps sending these 10 year old helmets to be tested for safety. They all fail. Eventually last week gives in and returns to train with new helmet.

Then decides he doesn’t like it again and goes home. They fine him. He then calls the GM a “cracker” and demands to be released on Instagram. They release him which means he loses about 30m in guarantees money.

Only hours later he’s signed by the New England patriots one a one year deal for 15m with 9m guaranteed.

So essentially the patriots couldn’t afford the trade or taking on his contract (which is what you have to do when trading in the NFL) so they’ve told him to get a trade and then make himself so unbearable he gets released and then they’ll sign him.

Clever, but about as low on the moral code as a team could go.
