Having seen a bit of Chelsea so far it should be interesting on Saturday

On the one hand they will press us high and are playing very well in patches. Their fans probably feel they will give someone a tonking soon. We know we can occasionally get ourselves in trouble playing out from the back against teams with a good high press.

On the other hand they are fading badly in the second half of games and you feel like if we bring our A game in terms of passing we could wear them down. Not sure their players quite have the fitness levels yet for the type of game Lampard is asking them to play and we know from the Liverpool game that we do have the quality to beat the press and open teams up, even if equally we may be prone to get caught in possession.

As usual I’m stating the obvious but just really important we don’t give them a couple of first half gifts. If we let them have two chances of Ffestiniog quality we let Newcastle have first half then they will take one so we need to go up a notch again defensively.

If we are in the game after an hour then I fancy us.
