I doubt that is true. More like we've given up since it is clear that their evaluation doesn't come anywhere near ours.

I find the whole thing a little odd to be honest. If Sheff Wed are determined to hold on to him, despite his impact on the wage bill, unless an offer comes in more suited to a 27-year old with 2 years left on his contract and who has been scoring 15-20 in the championship the last 3 seasons, then I assume they must now be including him seriously in their plans for this season.
