Shame that as i had high hopes these two could get us going but I think

Roy as a test match opener is going to be difficult in this country anyway. It may be different on hard pitches in the southern hemisphere but he always wants to play shots and go hard at the ball.

Worth persevering with but would not be surprised if he ends up further down the order.

Time for Root to show he can play the same sort of innings Smith played yesterday. Fingers crossed but its nervy stuff watching it isn't it!
