Yep, that's all fair and the situation is not ideal by any means

But I can't help feeling that while it is our most obvious area for improvement, it won't make or break our season.

I also can't help thinking that this year we will see us set up with more of an eye on containment with (for example) the full backs more withdrawn than they were last season.
