How does a general election happen before autumn?

Parliament rises for the summer recess by the end of this week. And Labour have been pretty clear they’re not gonna table a vote of no confidence this week.

Parliament then doesn’t return - and therefore can’t trigger a GE - until September. Which is autumn, no?

What am I missing?
