We don;t get the best players in anyway as we can't afford them and
the sums raised by this were never going to make any material difference to our ability to sign or retain players as they are peanuts for a premier league club in the grand scheme of things.
What they have done here is cynically targeted a group which is mostly comprised of their most loyal fans for commercial gain at a time when it was not necessary. They know there were 5,300 fans who went to 4+ away games last season and they have looked for a way to monetise that.
The sad things is as well that we will just pay it but don't let me hear f**king Delia banging on about the greed of the premier league or how fans are treated so badly by the premier league or premier league clubs again.
Many similar clubs in the premier league have made football more affordable for their fans since the rise in tv revenues as ticket revenues are relatively inconsequential for them.
