A few teams have been shambolic
Most expected sterner challenges from a few sides - South Africa, Pakistan given their ability to turn it on in tournaments, West Indies - but they’ve been mostly dreadful. There are also some mediocre sides - Sri Lanka are at a low ebb, Afghanistan can bowl but can’t bat - and washouts due to rain has impacted too (England and Australia lucky to dodge the showers).
Another issue is dumb cricket - plenty of times teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies have been in good positions but have got out to idiotic shots when they just needed to keep wickets in hand and runs ticking over.
At the moment the top four look a class apart, so games between them later on the tournament could be decent/close
