This is a meaningless election which only Farage is campaigning.
He will retain and increase his “success” from five years ago but if he claims victory he and his supporters are completely deluded - as they keep whinging a majority requires more than 50% (a mandate needs considerably more than 52%) the EU elections have low turnout. As happened with the referendum all it will prove is that there is a small but loud constituency that are prepared to spout half baked philosophies simply to leave at any cost.
I’ve avoided politics for many years but yesterday Brexiteers claimed that devaluing sterling by 10% “to make it competitive” would make Europeans buy British cars - Stuff the fact that everything we import is now at least 10% more expensive! Another claimed that “technology” would solve the Irish border as it’s the 21st Century and we don’t need a border...When asked what about the smuggler who ignores the online customs he said “Well you would probably need checkpoints for that....I don’t know”
And people are happily putting their votes down for these guys!
