if this is the first time this has happened, then
that suggests the show has been doing something right all these years in terms of its pastoral care for participants. Given what goes on and gets revealed, I am amazed that there haven't been suicides, physical assaults, even murders, already.
I'd expect this to just have been the tip of the iceberg if it wasn't being appropriately managed.
Which might suggest that there's a bit of knee-jerking going on and that the network may be using it as a timely opportunity to bin the format.
