Pretty good actually, but coach was a drag!

Sir Clive did a pretty good talk about his coaching methods all around going from good to great.

Talked about Prozone and how he saw it at Arsenal and went to see Wenger then convinced RFU to install at Twickenham. That's what gave them the edge, no one else was doing that analysis back then.

Also said he had to change the culture and get believe in the vision (all sounds familiar!). Half the players couldn't use a laptop but he insisted they all had one and used them to learn.

Key message was all around teachability and whether people were sponges (open to learning) or rocks (closed know it alls). Said they had to get rid of some as they would never have fitted.

Someone asked him about Southampton and he said he saw it as a success. Said he had two job offers as head coach (Wycombe and MK Dons) when he was offered the Team GB Olympic role and he had to go for the bigger role.

Had a few other good speakers. One guy who'd had his arm torn off my a paper milling machine and had it reattached!! Now talks about complacency in the workplace.

Nice buffet lunch; selection if sandwiches and the usual buffet delicacies.

I now have to write a summary brief back for some colleagues.
