at champs level, who has scored 100+ goals at that level, IF we played to his strengths. Anyone who wouldn’t, would have to be fairly disingenuous. Signing him for any serious money though? Absolutely not, hence pointing out his limitations. He flopped at Villa because he didn’t fit their style and he wasn’t willing to adapt. It’s the same reason he had bad seasons at Leeds and Cardiff. I know this because... I watch a lot of football ;)

But you said I rated him highly. I clearly didn’t, as I used him as a way of comparing a striker I thought would be good enough if we went up, to one that wouldn’t. If I rated him highly, I would have written a post saying “we should sign Kodjia or McCormack” before listing all the reasons why McCormack would be ideal.

It’s like you don’t understand context or nuance. Keep trolling on a Saturday night though because you can’t let go of a three year old grudge.
