No official team news in today but we do have a briefing.....

Daniel Farke says Tom Trybull's ankle injury does not require surgery and that the midfielder should fine to return for the start of pre-season.

Trybull injured ankle ligaments in the 54th minute of the 2-2 draw at Stoke City on Easter Monday and missed the promotion-clinching victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

However, the midfield maestro's injury is not as bad as first feared: "It’s okay, there is some good news from a bad situation," said the City boss.

"At least there is no surgery necessary. We can do it more in a traditional way. That means he has to wear a boot to calm his leg completely down.

"We have hope that he can join us in the first day of pre-season. It would be nice if that was possible.

"His recovery will last a few weeks but thank god we don’t have the play-offs. We have a bigger summer break and he will hopefully join us for pre-season."

Farke has no other injury concerns, with all of his players having fully recovered from the weekend's promotion celebrations.

"Everyone is fine. There are no new knocks. The celebrations were pretty disciplined at least, there were no people falling down the stairs!

"Everyone else is available for Villa so that is good news."
