This weekend we beat Blackburn but Sheff U beat Ipswich and stay 2 points behind. Probable outcome.

Then on last day of season if Sheff U beat Stoke (and that may be our saviour as it isn't a given) we have to win at Villa as even a draw will see us drop to second on goal difference.

Villa will not rest anyone. If they win at Elland Rd (and it does sound like Bielsa has accepted the playoffs and may rest players against Villa and Ipswich) then they will want to continue their winning run against us, but further and most importantly Villa are only 2 points behind West Brom who they will almost certainly meet in the Playoffs semi-final. That is an absolutely massive local derby so home advantage in leg 2 will be crucial. Villa want that.

Ironically our best chance of securing the title is for Leeds to beat Villa on Sunday thus ensuring they will finish 5th rather than 4th. Then I think there is a chance they will slacken off slightly in the game against us as it won't matter for them but will for us.

Overall though have to think it may be 2nd place. Those 4 draws have cost us unfortunately.
