I don't think he's slagging the fans off.

I do think he's rightly passing on the actual effects of fans' actions on players, the better to inform fans when they decide what further actions to take.

I can't see this as anything other than a good thing. Fans feel entitled to act in this way or that and probably rightly. The outcome will be this or that effect on the players. It's good to have the knowledge and to draw those links.
