Was at our Semi Final at Villa Park...

Apart from hearing that the Liverpool game had been delayed, not much news filtered through. Heard it had been abandoned and then later that people had died. Initially assumed it was crowd trouble, those were the times, didn't actually know what happened until later after hearing reports on radio.

Afterwards suddenly thought back to our Quarter final at Upton Park which was the most packed I'd ever known it on a terrace. Wondered then if it could have happened previously due to overcrowded sections of terracing... makes you think.

Still think removal of terraces was knee jerk reaction and they are no less safe than seating if controlled properly.

Never saw highlights of our semi final against Everton for about a year!
