what im meaning is
Newcastle fans see shearer as a god, and I suppose they hang on his every word. And Shearer used that power to make sure his point was made when Souness left, that he felt he needed to say that he thought he was a good manager and a good person
It's a clever way of saying "you lot treated him like s**t, but lets move on"
Roeder, shouldn't be underestimated at all, a very good coach who felt the pressure when Di Canio decided to physically test Roeder to the maximum by slagging him off to the press (god knows why some of ours haven't, worthy never hesitates. I suppose cos players are pros, and worthy is just a mouth arrogant t**t who doesn't really care)
The minute Roeder said he didn't want the job at all, was the minute I knew he'd turn it around, as he doesn't want the stress of management if some prick of a footballer is going to push him to the point of mental breakdown and hospitalisation, why would you? West ham also went down with 42 points, which is just unheard of now, and shows how that was just an amazing freak season
He's cleverly pushed the pressure away from him by saying he doesn't want it. They'll be begging for him to be manager by the end of the season
I'll always maintain that Souness started the good work at Newcastle, he got shot of Bellamy and knobhead Robert, two of the most idiotic and dislikeable players in football. He also had to deal with Dyer and Bowyer, something no one can ever blame on a manager. He took a difficult job on, and it didn't work out, he lost a world classed forward to injury that didn't help either (reminds me of a certain hamilton as well re bellamy I suppose)
The way people look at his time at newcastle as a joke, is a bit much, esp as it was him that brought Solano back, a hero on tyneside
Not everything he did at newcastle was black and blue the way it is portrayed
